VCDSA ENDORSES ASSISTANT SHERIFF BILL AYUB FOR SHERIFF
VENTURA, January 18, 2018 – The union representing Ventura County’s Deputy Sheriffs and District Attorney Investigators announced today that its board of directors had unanimously voted to endorse Assistant Sheriff Bill Ayub for Sheriff in the 2018 election. . “We believe that Assistant Sheriff Ayub possesses exemplary leadership skills, extensive law enforcement experience and high intelligence making him the right person to lead the Ventura County Sheriff’s Office in the future” said Investigator Scott Peterson, VCDSA President. "On behalf of our members, we are proud to endorse Assistant Sheriff Ayub. Because of his long-standing commitment to the Sheriff’s Office and the citizens of Ventura County, along with his proven leadership abilities, we are confident he will be ready to do the job on day one. Assistant Sheriff Ayub” said Peterson.The Ventura County Deputy Sheriffs’ Association (VCDSA) is the recognized bargaining unit for approximately 775 sworn peace officers in Ventura County. Peterson explained that the Board was proud to endorse Assistant Sheriff Ayub because of his passion for his career in law enforcement and his dedication to the men and women who are Ventura County Sheriff’s Deputies.
